Client’s request
With the new greenhouse, De Zuidplas nursery is increasing its gerbera production by approximately five acres of additional greenhouse space for growing large-flowered gerberas. The new greenhouse will be built in two phases and will allow the nursery to gradually increase capacity while keeping up with increasing customer demand.
Geers’ approach
Based on the lighting plan and transformer placement, we develop an efficient and well thought-out installation plan with our in-house engineering. Everything comes together in this; from the location of the ground cables, the excavation, the lighting bays, lighting panels, the control and the prefabricated cabling to the LED fixtures.
Result
The result is a complete lighting installation that will be delivered in phases. In the first phase the gerberas are already in the light of the new NXTLed fixtures from Hortilux. In the other half of the greenhouse, work is currently continuing undisturbed on phase two. This underlines Geers’ flexibility and ability to deliver customized solutions that meet customer requirements.
