Client’s request
Hazeu Orchids faced the challenge of renewing the entire lighting installation. The existing panels, cabling and luminaires. The work had to take place in an existing greenhouse with a double cultivation layer, without disrupting ongoing production.
Geers’ approach
Geers designed and installed a custom solution with new lighting panels placed under the grow tables. The new luminaires were replaced according to the new light distribution connected to Geers Connection pre-assembled cabling produced in-house. This work was carried out in phases across two locations to allow orchid cultivation to continue undisturbed. Flexibility and customization were key in this process.
Result
The result is an energy-efficient, dimmable LED installation with high light output, better plant control and efficient heat dissipation through the use of Mechatronix’s CoolStack COMPACT PRO. Hazeu Orchids benefits from higher lighting performance, lower energy costs and a reliable, future-proof installation that optimizes productivity and cultivation quality.
