Client’s request
A leading ornamental plant nursery approached Geers with a specific request for a lighting system that meets the light levels recommended by their crop advisor. The goal was to install 220 μmol/m²/s of full led lighting while ensuring uniformity of ±0.92 in the greenhouse, which is essential for the optimal growth of ornamental plants in their new overseas greenhouse.
Our approach
Geers was involved from the start of this new construction project, allowing us to fully utilize our expertise in designing an integrated growth lighting system. We compared the specifications of the luminaires, the lighting plans, and the client’s requirements using our in-house comparison tool, enabling them to choose the right luminaires at a glance.
For powering each luminaire, we used our own Geers connection cables, ensuring a reliable and efficient installation. The installation of these systems was carried out using our modern equipment and skilled in-house technicians.
The result
A satisfied client and a new greenhouse with 220 μmol/m²/s of full led lighting, delivered on time. This new construction project underscores Geers’ ability to lead and successfully execute large-scale, technically complex lighting projects, combining deep technical expertise with practical implementation knowledge.
