Client’s request
A leading ornamental flower nursery approached Geers with the specific request for a lighting system that met the light levels recommended by their crop consultant. The goal was to install 220 μmol/m²/s of full LED lighting, ensuring a uniformity of ±0.92 throughout the greenhouse, essential for optimal ornamental flower growth in their new greenhouse abroad.
Our approach
Geers joined this new construction project from the beginning, which gave us the opportunity to fully utilize our expertise in designing an integrated supplemental lighting system. We juxtaposed the luminaires’ specifications, lighting plans and the customer’s requirements in our comparison tool, allowing him to choose the right luminaires at a glance.
We used our own Geers Connection Cables to power each luminaires, ensuring a reliable and efficient installation. The installation of these systems was done using our modern equipment and our own skilled mechanics.
The result
A satisfied customer and a new greenhouse with 220 μmol/m²/s of full LED lighting delivered on time. This new construction project highlights Geers’ ability to lead and successfully execute large-scale, technically complex lighting projects, combining deep technical insight with practical implementation knowledge.
